Why we need to practice everyday

We all wish that parenting was easier!

If only our children could just do what we ask without having to argue, or run away, scream or just point blank refuse.

Unfortunately for us our children are having their own experience and as such can often get overwhelmed by big feelings of anger, frustration and shame to name just a few.

When these feelings show up we want to help our children to feel them and not be overwhelmed by them so they can realise they can deal with them and become resilient, but this can be hard – it is often loud, and demonstrative.

In this 10 day challenge I’m giving you 10 things you can do to help let these feelings out of the body allowing your children to feel better and create resilience.

Practising daily helps us to keep our nervous system from getting overwhelmed.

Supporting your child to release difficult feelings helps them to not only manage feelings in the moment but also increases their window of tolerance and strengthens their vagal tone.
